The China-Laos Railway starts north in Kunming, Yunnan Province, and ends south in Vientiane, the capital of Laos. It is a landmark project that bears witness to the friendship between China and Laos as part of the “Belt and Road” construction process. After it opened, it became possible to travel overnight from Kunming in China to Vientiane in Laos.
A centralized signaling system is an important component of any railway signal control system. It enables the central dispatch of the railway operation network to be centrally directed, allows stations to be decentralized and autonomously controlled and many other important functions to be achieved. It is the “central nervous system” for high-speed railway dispatch communication and has very strict security and reliability requirements for underlying databases. As a landmark project on the “Belt and Road” initiative, the China-Laos Railway adopted Chinese standards for the entire line, with the railway signal dispatching system adopting Dameng’s developed database management system, playing a key role in ensuring the stable and efficient operation of railway transport and guaranteeing railway production safety.
In order to ensure the smooth running of the railway signal dispatching system and to meet the China-Laos Railway signal dispatching system’s strict requirements for safety, stability and other aspects for the database, the project deployed Dameng’s database management system DM8, the data watch cluster DMDataWatch, the real-time data synchronization software DMHS and other products to set up safe and reliable database protection cluster architecture with double guarantees for high availability of the railway core production system and did everything possible to ensure the safety of the China-Laos Railway operations network, significantly improving the operational efficiency of the China-Laos Railway.
